What is Mobile Cardiology?
VetPulse Cardiology brings specialized heart care directly to your local clinic. Your primary veterinarian will schedule the appointment, and together, we’ll arrange a drop-off time. Our mobile service performs all necessary diagnostics on-site at your clinic for a seamless experience.
What to Expect
During your pet's visit, a complete cardiovascular physical exam will be performed. Our most common diagnostic tool is an echocardiogram (echo), which is a non-invasive, painless ultrasound of the heart. It helps identify heart disease, its type, and severity, guiding the treatment plan. Shaving is rarely needed, and sedation is uncommon, though pets who usually receive oral sedatives (such as gabapentin or trazadone) prior to vet appointments may continue their medication with vet approval.
If your pet has an irregular heartbeat, we may perform an electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) to assess heart rhythm.
After our visit, we provide your vet with a detailed report covering the exam, findings, prognosis, treatment plan, and follow-up recommendations. Dr. Williams is available to speak with pet owners directly by phone to discuss the results and next steps if desired.
Scheduling & Pricing
In-clinic evaluations are arranged by your vet clinic, not by pet owners. Your vet can contact us by phone or email to schedule a visit and provide the necessary records.
VetPulse does not determine the final pricing for visits, so please ask your local clinic for an estimate.
Telemedicine Follow-ups
A remote recheck
Rechecks with VetPulse, including routine diagnostics like x-rays or bloodwork, are done at your local clinic without needing Dr. Williams to be present. You or your vet can request our input as needed, and we offer telemedicine consults to discuss results and the care plan directly with pet owners.
Both pet owners and vet clinics can schedule telemedicine follow-ups with VetPulse. We'll gather recent records and ask pet owners to complete a follow-up intake form.
